Emergency Maintenance - Follow Up

Service Affected:- Leo

A hard drive failure occurred on Leo Tuesday 25th at around 6.12PM BST. We had a new drive installed and replicated data to a new drive. The process caused around 50 minutes of inaccessibility to websites due to the required reboot and change of drives. The drive change was necessary in order to resume normal operation.

Once the server was rebooted MySQL was unfortunately not running due to a permissions error and the data centre had changed the server password and not given out the new one. The person that has the password has left for today and they are not resetting the password until billing arrives so in turn nothing could be done to resolve any of the issues.

If any users still have persisting database errors please open a new support ticket.

We are classing this as a sole inaccessibility downtime and providing credit on a case by case basis. For information please see our uptime guarantees per terms and conditions.

The process may take up to 2 hours to complete. This will be causing extended downtime but it is necessary in order to resume normal operation.

At around 7PM GMT+0 electricians tripped a router power panel bringing most if not all the network down. All power was restored within 20 minutes and in some cases within 10 minutes. All maintenance work at this facility has been paused.
